Dave joined Cors & Bassett as an Associate Attorney in November 2017. His practice focuses on business representation and transactional matters, particularly in the areas of corporate law, business law, real estate, commercial transactions, liquor and hospitality and trademark law.

Background

Dave’s work primarily focuses on counseling buyers, sellers, developers, landlords and tenants in a wide range real estate matters. In his associated corporate practice, Dave assists businesses and their owners in navigating a broad range of issues in the business life cycle from formation to exit. His experience includes business formation and negotiation of buy-sell arrangements, mergers and acquisitions, the financing, purchase and development of real estate, lease counseling for both landlords and tenants and title matters. Dave also assists clients in the liquor and hospitality industry with liquor permitting and compliance matters. He also has extensive experience handling a range of construction matters, including AIA and other construction contract negotiation, and is well-versed in federal and state trademark law.

In addition to his legal work, Dave is also a licensed title agent and serves as Vice President of Sawyer Point Title, Inc., the firm’s wholly owned title agency.

Dave is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University’s Salmon P. Chase College of Law, the University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business and Elder High School. Dave resides in Green Township with his wife, two children and goldendoodle, Nuxy. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, sampling local restaurants, and supporting his favorite sports teams, especially the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bearcats.

  • Primary author of successful amicus brief in 2017 Kentucky Supreme Court in decision expanding subcontractor rights to payment directly from Owners in Kentucky.
